This was a marvelous outing, The Hound is simply a delight, the chips give texture, the Gruyere is smooth as buttered baby fat, and the patty with bacon infused tastes like the love of a child. The staff is top notch and friendly as all get out. The music is on point. The vaue is unmatched. This is glory. I am well pleased. Thank you Whitman's

This is a phenomenal burger. The bacon-infused patty gives it that great smoky pork flavor without having to deal with the extra chew on top. The Gruyere was delicious, and judiciously applied - it wasn't a drippy mess the way it might be on a less tastefully made burger. The potato crisps were delicious - and there were just enough to add texture and flavor. A few leaves of fresh arugula give it a nice balance. Also love the size - satisfying, but not overwhelming. Slightly more cooked than I asked for, but not egregiously. Super tasty. I'm a fan.

The website is working like a dream! The prix fixe is a delight as well. Happy to revisit Whitmans where it all began - delicious sides and burger.

Is it too late to make a hat that says Make Andrew Great Again. His brief reign at the top was sadly just that. Brief. A fluke. I watched him drink from Adam's cup (not a euphemism) and struggle to sign us all on the wifi. The days of analog Burger Club are behind us, Andrew. Score: 2

Other than that, the burger was a delight. Seemingly simple but with complex flavors and the arugula was a nice touch. I'm here for the fries, obviously. It is the only thing that keeps this old body going.

Ambiance: I took no offense to the Rosie Riveter sign in the corner that encouraged us to buy local wine and fight the recession. But wondering if I'm just a bad feminist. 🙃

A perfect burger - very satisfying without leaving you with a feeling of clogged arteries, discomfort, or the need to take a shower. The sides were a generous size. The service was lovely and attentive, the ambience top notch.

Andrew comes in at an all time high for me at a 5. Great planning and bringing a new level of sophistication with the Square technology.

While the burger itself was excellent I made the mistake of trying the blue cheese fries. Fries were crisp and hot.. Blue cheese spread, as one of my burger colleagues put it, looked like a cat threw up on top of my fries.

I love this burger - it's every bit as delicious as it was when I first enjoyed it with Burger Club a year ago. The bacon-infused patty gives salty flavor with every bite, and the super-thin potato crips give a great crunch. I love the smoked gruyer and freshness of the lettuce, and the size of the burger is perfectly satisfying without leaving my stomach on the floor.

The fries were a bit disappointing - they were lukewarm, and not especially crisp. Given the really creative burger menu (I tried a bite of the Bluicy - yum!), the fries seem like a less-considered afterthought - they're totally fine, but they could have made this a supremely special experience.

I love the vibe of the restaurant - casual basement feel with a portrait of its namesake uncle Walt on the wall - but the noise level can be a bit much. (A couple of acoustical tiles/whatnot would really help so that we don't have to yell to be heard by the people a few inches away.)

The servers were, once again, very friendly.

Overall, I love Whitman's and always look forward to a visit.

My only negative note is that I really wish that mustard was a condiment here. Andrew is dressed EXTRA Andrew today and he was on time so I give him a rating of 6.79. The sweet potato fries are amazing. The burger club deal is unbeatable, and the company is hard to beat! Though it must be noted that Greg gets -2 for not attending. Glad to be celebrating a burger club anniversary here! 🍔🍟🙌🏼

Harold and Kumar went to the wrong place.. it might be of a smaller (slider) size (don't bring a Texan here) but their The Hound is totally killer. It's rather simple but hits you with an unbelievable sense of balance, texture and taste. That crunchy whatever it is there adds a great accent. Also, Harold and Kumar can afford it too! $
