Another superb afternoon of sampling delicious beef in the company of fine friends. I'm pleased to announce that a new champion has been crowned - Umami has taken the top rating away from Brindle Room, edging it out with a 7.2 out of 10 overall rating. The main burgers that tried were the Truffle Burger, the Original and the Manly burger, and folks on the whole had high praise for the taste of the patty and the harmonious balance between beef, bun and toppings. Sides see-sawed between top marks and below-average ratings, likely dependent upon who ordered the truffle cheese fries and who ordered the regular "commoner" fries. The only real universal criticism was the venue ambience, which generally felt rather bland and characterless, although some points were given to them for accommodating our surging group size and finding a way to seat everyone together. The creative, well-crafted toppings and lovely presentation won the day though.
I'm also pretty jazzed up about the "Andrew Ambience" rating, in which people rate my own personal existence as a human being - after languishing in the 3.2 range since the club's inception, I've shattered the glass ceiling and soared up to a 3.9. With effort and a little luck, I'm hoping to crack 4 next month...huzzah!
N.B. He was extremely high during the tasting, so of course the food was delicious
