It's a fine nephew we're talking of. The steak was thick and rare, and the melted Saint Nectaire brought the French touch anyone would expect from a Mamie. The bun had a nice golden tan, bringing some sun into this November night, but felt a bit dry. Some sauce would provide a little moisture pleasant to the lips. Fries were fine but short and could have benefited from a dash of coarse ground pepper.
The ambiance came rather from the people than from the venue. Mamie burger might not be the best place to bring a first date but is certainly a right choice for a group of friends of friends. Just pour some more Languedoc so make them friends.
