This is the highest rating I’ve ever given a burger, and I’m not apologizing. This is a singular glory of a burger. A masterpiece. A Manet mixed with a Monet covered in cheese and made magnificent. The harmoniousness is off the charts. Normally I’d dock the lack of fries, but the Brussels sprouts are a perfect accompaniment. Flawless. And Angelique is vraiment parfait, 10/10.

Maybe I just love Game of Thrones too much, but this is just a dang fine burger with the right amount of zest, and the usual Shake Shack excellence of balance and quality. Glad I got the double to match the bacon.

Sounds better than it tastes. The pitch is strong here, but the burger itself is lacking - the sirloin was not particularly tasteful, and the short rib was an inspired stuffing, but on its own didn’t hold much flavor. Foie grad was nice but only two bites worth. Couldn’t taste the truffle. Bangin fries, and the venue made me feel fancy AF. But on the whole, it didn’t live up to the marketing.

This is a damn tasty burger. Good lord this is a tasty burger. The deep fried glory of this was made even more perfect by the snowstorm outside, but the bread here - Slovak homemade - is genius. The package is entirely complete and magnificent in a uniquely harmonious way. This. Is. Magic. The venue was freezing cold. The sides solid but. It winning. Don't even care. This is a champion.

I will never eat butter again. But this... was delicious. My heart is full, but broken.

This remains one of the great burgers of NYC. The significant increase in price hurts the value, but the harmonious of the experience is still soul-fueling and heart-pumpingly magnificent. The fries are the god that McDonalds prays to. The au poivre sauce is the divine glue that ties it all together. The world is a better place for having this burger in it.

This is definitely an interesting and novel take on a burger - the meat blend has character, the toppings were fresh, and the sauces were delicious. The pita was excellent too. But ultimately it’s not transcendent, and while I appreciate trying to do something new, it doesn’t quite take me to a place beyond a regular burger. The fries were average, and the staff was lovely but the venue was very loud. Overall, the restaurant is a total winner, important to note that the cevapi and dips are top shelf - get those instead of the burger!

A beautiful burger in a beautiful bar, the bacon jam and fancy sauce add smoke and tang, and the beef - while slightly over cooked - is flavorful and rich. the martinis elevate the mood and create a beautiful halo around the whole experience. A delight from start to finish.

This is a very tasty burger. Not one that I’d seek out but one that I’d gladly accept if offered, or if in the neighborhood and hungry for a burger and beer. The meat is masked behind the char, cheese, sauce, toppings, so it barely plays a role beyond texture. But the variety of taste combos (jalapeños!) makes for a lovely journey. The fries are beautiful - high end McDonald’s and I love it. Paired with a Threes brew, it makes for a satisfying experience. A great burger? No. A very good one? I’ll give it that.
